Grace Wearing Denim
Grace. My maternal grandmother (Grammy) sitting on her porch in the 1950's. She was my best friend. I never saw her wear pants so this photo has always touched my heart.
24" x 23" - Fabric and thread
Two of the fabrics are from dresses I made for my mom: grey birds and the coral flower in the rays above her head.
Denim pocket is from an old pair of Susan's jeans. I plan on keeping treasures from my grandmother along with notes I leave for her. She is one of my guardian angels.
Grace loved to garden.

Lois Wilson's Desk - Stepping Stones Historic Home of Bill & Lois Wilson
Here is the second quilted wall hanging I’ve made for Stepping Stones, the historic home of Bill and Lois Wilson in New York.
Lois Wilson’s Desk (19” x 17”)
1st edition Al Anon book on her desk and on the bookshelf
1st edition Big Book on the bookshelf.
Birds and nature that Lois loved (I was envisioning this as wallpaper but it could also just be her spiritual surroundings.)
Just as it is when you visit, there is
a lamp light with the rays, her nameplate and In/Out box on her desk.
Above the lamp the square are the photos surrounding her desk
The blue circles are the sky coming through a window.
I’m mailing it to Stepping Stones Historic Home of Bill & Lois Wilson in New-York so they sell it in their gift shop. https://www.steppingstones.org/
Message me if you are interested.
This is entirely made of fabric.

☕️ the enormous array of coffee cups Bill and Lois have in the Stepping Stones kitchen
☕️ the iconic telephone ☎️
☕️ the kitchen window with the flowers below, and the blue sky above
☕️ back fabric - typewriter and letter keys for Bill and Lois’ books written at Stepping Stones, the historic home of Bill and Lois Wilson

Stepping Stones Sign - Stepping Stones Historic Home of Bill & Lois Wilson
This is the original “Stepping Stones Wilson” sign and Wit’s End (Bill Wilson’s writing studio) is in the distance. Rays surrounding Wit’s End symbolizing a Higher Power and the books created within. There’s green grass, brown earth and blue sky along with deer I’ve seen during my visits. This contemporary art quilt wall hanging 20” x 18”.
I’m mailing it to Stepping Stones Historic Home of Bill & Lois Wilson in New-York so they can raise money for their archives and upkeep of the home. https://www.steppingstones.org/
